It marks a way for artists to create stories and share it with anyone to tell. Successful WEBTOON artists may get a head start into a future career where their stories get physically published, have official merchandise, or even adapted to television. Branding is an important part of a company’s identity. We can help successfully rebrand WEBTOON’s logo to emphasize the brand’s presence and resonate with creators as well as readers of the platform. We will align the new logo with WEBTOON’s message and craft a logo that will enhance brand recognition and give a lasting impression to the audience.
These sketches are what helped form the rebranded logo. The main idea was to add in elements of digital and comic into one image.
This logo incorporates elements of webtoons by showing the comic and digital aspect behind the app. The "W" which stands for webtoon is designed as a cartoon style to represent the common comic font seen in comics. The background represents an iconic chat bubble seen inside comics to express something exciting/surprising within the text. This makes it different than the old style which can make the app seem like a text messaging app. The chat bubble that show the excitement of a character is now showing the excitement behind the app itself. Furthermore, the literal webtoon font is a common pixelized font to represent the digital aspect of online comics. The new logo is a perfect design for a new and timeless look.
